In 2010 Danielle Louise Merricks graduated from Blackpool and the Fylde College (accredited by Lancaster university), with a BA (hons) in Fine Art and Professional Practice. Throughout this time she participated in various exhibitions within her home town of Blackpool.

Danielle's has been commissioned by Blackpool Borough Council to create a series of works to form a window based installation, as part of the 'Blackpool Culture Shops Programme'.  The work will be situated on Church Street, Blackpool.  The preview evening, which will include the opening of the other featured Culture Shops will be held at 6pm on Thursday 16th December, 2010 at FYCreatives on Church Street.  All are welcome.  For more information on the project and featured artists, please visit the Blackpool Culture Shops Blog http://blackpoolcultureshops.wordpress.com/
